Jimmy’s Mobile Care provides mobile automotive diagnostics and repair at your location in Daytona Beach, Daytona Beach Shores and South Daytona. Instead of requiring every vehicle problem to begin with a trip to a repair shop, we bring diagnostic equipment, tools and repair service directly to the vehicle when the work can be performed safely and effectively on-site.
Mobile Auto Repair Built Around Diagnosis
Our approach starts with understanding the problem before deciding what should be replaced. A warning light, diagnostic trouble code or symptom can point toward a system, but it does not automatically prove that a particular component has failed.
When diagnosis is needed, we evaluate the information available from the vehicle and perform appropriate testing for the concern. Depending on the system, that may include scan-tool data, electrical testing, circuit checks, mechanical inspection, pressure or temperature measurements, component testing, or verification of power and ground.
The goal is straightforward: identify the cause of the problem as accurately as practical before recommending a repair.
Repairs at Your Home, Workplace or Vehicle Location
Many automotive problems can be diagnosed or repaired without bringing the vehicle into a traditional shop. Jimmy’s Mobile Care performs qualifying services where the vehicle is located, provided there is a safe and suitable work area.
Mobile service can be especially useful when a vehicle will not start, has a charging or electrical problem, has an air-conditioning concern, develops a cooling-system issue, needs brake or suspension work, or has a warning light or drivability problem that requires diagnosis.
Not every repair belongs in a driveway or parking area. If a job requires equipment, working conditions or procedures that are not appropriate for mobile service, we will not represent otherwise.
Automotive Systems We Service
Jimmy’s Mobile Care works with a broad range of vehicle systems and components, including brakes and ABS, air conditioning, cooling systems, batteries and charging systems, starting circuits, fuel and ignition systems, engine-management sensors, steering, suspension and drivetrain components.
Because similar symptoms can have very different causes, the service needed is determined by the vehicle and the actual condition rather than by replacing parts solely because they are commonly associated with a symptom.
Air Conditioning Service
Automotive air conditioning requires more than simply adding refrigerant when a system is not cooling correctly. A/C performance can be affected by refrigerant loss, electrical faults, compressor operation, airflow problems, pressure-control issues and failures elsewhere in the system.
Our technicians are EPA Section 609 Certified for motor-vehicle air-conditioning service. When A/C diagnosis or repair is performed, the service is approached as a system rather than assuming that one component is responsible before testing supports that conclusion.
Clear Communication Before Additional Work
Automotive diagnosis sometimes reveals a condition that was not apparent when the appointment was scheduled. A seized fastener, damaged connector, previous repair, incorrect part, wiring problem or additional failed component can change what is required to complete a repair correctly.
When additional work becomes necessary, we explain what was found and obtain authorization as appropriate before proceeding. Customers should understand what is being diagnosed or repaired and why additional work is being recommended.
Warranty on Our Work
Qualifying labor performed by Jimmy’s Mobile Care is covered for 36 months or 36,000 miles, whichever occurs first, unless different written warranty terms apply to a particular repair.
Parts supplied by Jimmy’s Mobile Care are covered by the applicable manufacturer’s warranty, when provided by that manufacturer. Warranty periods and terms vary by part and manufacturer. Customer-supplied parts are not warranted by Jimmy’s Mobile Care.
