Terms & Conditions

Last Updated: October 4, 2026

These Terms & Conditions govern mobile automotive diagnostic, maintenance, and repair services provided by Jimmy’s Mobile Care. By scheduling service, requesting that work be performed, approving an estimate or repair, or otherwise authorizing automotive service, the customer agrees to the terms applicable to that service.

1. Nature of Our Mobile Automotive Service

Jimmy’s Mobile Care provides automotive diagnostics, maintenance, inspection, and repair at customer locations when the vehicle, requested work, service location, weather, available workspace, and other conditions make mobile service reasonably safe and practical.

Mobile automotive service has limitations. Certain repairs may require a vehicle lift, alignment equipment, machining, extensive disassembly, specialized shop equipment, controlled working conditions, or other resources that cannot reasonably be provided at a customer’s location.

Jimmy’s Mobile Care may decline to begin or continue work when a requested service is not appropriate for mobile repair or when conditions at the location make the work unsafe or impractical.

If a vehicle ultimately requires transportation to a repair facility, charges for mobile services already authorized and performed remain due.

2. Diagnostic Services Are a Testing Process

Automotive diagnosis involves testing and evaluating vehicle systems to determine the cause of a reported symptom, warning light, malfunction, abnormal operation, or other condition.

Payment for diagnostic service covers the technician’s time, testing procedures, equipment use, and professional evaluation. A diagnostic charge is not contingent upon a particular component being identified as defective during a single appointment.

Some vehicle problems are intermittent or occur only under particular operating conditions. Additional testing, disassembly, road testing, specialized equipment, extended observation, or a subsequent appointment may be necessary.

Diagnostic service is limited to the condition or concern for which testing was authorized unless additional inspection or testing is separately approved.

3. Trouble Codes Do Not Automatically Identify a Failed Part

Diagnostic trouble codes, scan-tool information, warning lights, and computer data are diagnostic information. They are not, by themselves, proof that the component named or associated with a code has failed.

Proper diagnosis may require circuit testing, measurements, visual inspection, mechanical testing, verification of power and ground, comparison of live data, or other procedures.

Jimmy’s Mobile Care may recommend diagnostic testing before replacing a component even when a trouble code appears to reference that component.

4. Customer-Directed Repairs

A customer may request replacement of a specific part without authorizing recommended diagnostic testing.

When Jimmy’s Mobile Care agrees to perform such work, replacement of the customer-selected component does not constitute a representation that the component is the cause of the vehicle’s problem.

If the requested replacement does not correct the complaint, additional diagnostic work, labor, parts, or repairs are separate services and may result in additional charges.

5. Estimates, Changes and Customer Authorization

An estimate reflects the information and vehicle condition reasonably known when the estimate is prepared. Conditions that cannot be identified until testing, access, disassembly, or repair begins may affect the final work required.

Jimmy’s Mobile Care will obtain authorization for automotive repairs in accordance with applicable requirements and its normal service procedures.

Authorization may be documented through a signed or electronic estimate or repair order, text message, electronic communication, telephone or verbal approval when permitted, or another mutually accepted method.

When additional work becomes necessary, the customer may be asked to authorize the additional work before it is performed.

An estimate is not a guarantee that no additional vehicle condition will be discovered.

6. Parts, Materials and Related Charges

Replacement parts differ in manufacturer, quality, availability, warranty coverage, and price.

When Jimmy’s Mobile Care supplies a part, the amount charged for that part may reflect more than the underlying acquisition price. The price may include expenses and business costs associated with sourcing, obtaining, transporting, handling, and supplying the correct part for mobile installation.

Shop supplies, hazardous-material charges, disposal-related charges, or similar charges may apply when appropriate to the particular repair.

A particular brand or manufacturer of replacement part is not guaranteed unless specifically stated as part of the authorized repair.

7. Customer-Supplied Parts

Jimmy’s Mobile Care may accept or decline installation of customer-supplied parts.

The customer is responsible for the accuracy, completeness, compatibility, condition, and suitability of any part the customer provides.

Additional charges may result when a customer-supplied part is incorrect, damaged, defective, incomplete, previously installed, incompatible, missing necessary hardware, or otherwise cannot be installed as expected.

Labor required to determine why a customer-supplied component does not fit or function properly may be separately chargeable.

Customer-supplied parts are not warranted by Jimmy’s Mobile Care.

8. Customer Responsibilities at the Service Location

The customer must provide lawful and reasonable access to the vehicle and sufficient space for the authorized work.

The service area must be reasonably safe for automotive work. Jimmy’s Mobile Care may decline, suspend, or discontinue work because of traffic exposure, unstable or unsuitable ground, inadequate clearance, severe weather, poor lighting, unsafe surroundings, property restrictions, interference with the technician, or another condition that makes the work inappropriate.

For service at an apartment complex, condominium, workplace, commercial property, parking facility, gated community, or other property controlled by a third party, the customer is responsible for obtaining permission for automotive work when permission is required.

If conditions become unsuitable after work has begun, service may be suspended until an appropriate location or other reasonable arrangement is available.

9. Accurate Vehicle and Repair Information

Customers should provide accurate information concerning the vehicle and the reported problem, including information such as year, make, model, engine, VIN when requested, symptoms, warning lights, prior diagnostic results, recent repairs, modifications, and known vehicle conditions.

Incorrect or incomplete information may cause delays, incorrect parts ordering, additional travel, additional testing, or additional labor.

Customers should also disclose previous repairs or known conditions that could materially affect the work being requested.

10. Pre-Existing Conditions and Prior Work

A vehicle may have mechanical, electrical, structural, cosmetic, wiring, programming, or other conditions that existed before Jimmy’s Mobile Care began work.

Previous repairs, aftermarket modifications, collision damage, corrosion, deteriorated wiring, missing hardware, incorrect components, altered connectors, non-original installations, and work performed by others may affect diagnosis or repair.

Jimmy’s Mobile Care is responsible for the work actually authorized and performed. Service on one component or system does not make Jimmy’s Mobile Care responsible for unrelated conditions elsewhere on the vehicle.

Additional work required because of a pre-existing condition, modification, previous repair, or improper installation may require additional authorization and charges.

11. Rust, Corrosion, Deterioration and Component Breakage

Age, mileage, heat, environmental exposure, corrosion, previous repairs, improper installation, and normal deterioration can weaken automotive components and hardware.

Fasteners, bolts, studs, fittings, connectors, hoses, lines, brackets, clips, electrical terminals, plastic components, and other parts may already be seized, brittle, rusted, damaged, weakened, or deteriorated before service begins.

A deteriorated component may crack, strip, break, crumble, seize, separate, or otherwise become unusable while reasonable diagnostic, removal, disassembly, or repair procedures are being performed.

When a pre-existing condition causes additional work to become necessary, additional labor, extraction, drilling, replacement parts, hardware, or repair procedures may be required.

Jimmy’s Mobile Care is not responsible for failure or breakage caused by pre-existing corrosion, deterioration, damage, previous improper work, or normal wear except where responsibility cannot legally be excluded.

12. Appointments and Mobile Arrival Times

Appointment times and estimated arrival windows may be affected by traffic, weather, earlier service calls, unexpected vehicle conditions, parts availability, emergencies, and other circumstances inherent in providing mobile automotive service.

An estimated arrival time should not be interpreted as a guarantee of arrival at an exact minute unless expressly agreed otherwise.

Customers should provide accurate contact information and be reasonably available when access to the vehicle or authorization is required.

13. Cancellations

A $100 cancellation fee may apply when an appointment or authorized service is canceled under circumstances covered by Jimmy’s Mobile Care’s cancellation policy.

If work has already been authorized and teardown or disassembly has begun before the customer cancels the repair, teardown and/or reassembly labor may be charged at $150 per labor hour, in addition to any applicable cancellation charge and other authorized charges already incurred.

Parts specially obtained for an authorized repair may also be subject to applicable return, restocking, shipping, or non-returnable-part costs when those costs have been incurred.

14. Service Calls and Diagnostic Charges

A service-call charge may apply for dispatching mobile automotive service to the customer’s location.

Unless specifically stated otherwise, a service-call charge is separate from diagnostic labor, repair labor, parts, materials, and other authorized services.

Diagnostic charges and other authorized charges remain payable if the customer elects not to proceed with a recommended repair.

Jimmy’s Mobile Care may waive or reduce a charge at its discretion when permitted. A waiver or adjustment on one occasion does not establish a continuing policy or entitlement to the same adjustment on a future service call.

15. Payment

Payment is due upon completion of the authorized service unless another arrangement has been expressly approved.

The customer is responsible for authorized charges for service calls, diagnostic services, labor, parts, materials, shop supplies, hazardous-material handling when applicable, and other approved services.

Payment methods are subject to acceptance and successful processing. Jimmy’s Mobile Care may decline a particular payment method and request another acceptable method when reasonably necessary.

Any payment arrangement differing from normal payment terms must be expressly agreed upon.

16. Vehicle Operation and Test Drives

Authorization to diagnose or repair a vehicle includes permission for Jimmy’s Mobile Care to start, operate, move, and, when reasonably necessary, test-drive the vehicle for diagnostic purposes or to verify a repair.

A test drive will not knowingly be performed when the vehicle cannot reasonably be operated safely.

The customer must disclose any known condition that could make starting, moving, or driving the vehicle unsafe.

17. Safety-Related Problems

During diagnosis or repair, Jimmy’s Mobile Care may discover a condition that appears to affect safe vehicle operation.

When appropriate, the customer may be advised that the vehicle should not be driven until the condition is repaired.

If a customer operates or permits operation of a vehicle after being advised of a potentially unsafe condition, the decision to do so is the customer’s responsibility.

Diagnosis or repair of a particular component or system does not constitute certification that the entire vehicle is safe or roadworthy.

18. Scope of Inspection and Authorized Work

Unless a comprehensive vehicle inspection is specifically requested and authorized, work performed by Jimmy’s Mobile Care is limited to the particular complaint, system, component, diagnostic procedure, maintenance service, or repair authorized by the customer.

A technician’s examination of one portion of a vehicle is not a comprehensive inspection of the entire vehicle.

Completion of an authorized repair does not represent that every mechanical, electrical, structural, safety, maintenance, or other condition affecting the vehicle has been discovered.

Jimmy’s Mobile Care does not guarantee against unrelated failures, future failures, or intermittent conditions that were not present or reasonably detectable during the authorized service.

19. Repair Results and Additional Vehicle Problems

Automotive symptoms may have more than one cause. Older, high-mileage, modified, damaged, neglected, or previously repaired vehicles may have several conditions producing similar or overlapping symptoms.

An authorized repair is intended to correct the condition addressed by that repair. Repairing one failed component does not guarantee that another component will not subsequently fail.

If another condition remains or becomes apparent after an authorized repair, additional diagnosis or repair may be necessary.

20. Labor and Parts Warranty

Unless different written warranty terms are provided for a particular repair, qualifying labor performed by Jimmy’s Mobile Care is covered for 36 months or 36,000 miles, whichever occurs first.

Warranty eligibility applies to the labor associated with the covered repair and is subject to the terms and limitations applicable to that repair.

Replacement parts supplied by Jimmy’s Mobile Care are covered by the applicable manufacturer’s warranty, if any. Manufacturer warranty periods, coverage, exclusions, claim procedures, and remedies vary by manufacturer and part.

A manufacturer’s warranty is provided by the applicable manufacturer and is subject to that manufacturer’s terms.

Customer-supplied parts are not warranted by Jimmy’s Mobile Care.

Warranty coverage does not extend to unrelated failures, normal wear, abuse, misuse, collision damage, subsequent improper repair, unauthorized modification, failure of another component, or another condition outside the covered repair to the extent permitted by applicable law.

Nothing in these Terms & Conditions eliminates rights or remedies that cannot lawfully be waived or limited.

21. No Storage Charges

Jimmy’s Mobile Care is a mobile automotive service and does not operate as a vehicle-storage facility.

The standard daily storage charge is therefore $0.00 per day.

This provision does not make Jimmy’s Mobile Care responsible for custody, storage, security, towing, or safekeeping of a customer’s vehicle at the customer’s property or another service location.

22. Right to Decline or Stop Service

Jimmy’s Mobile Care may refuse, cancel, suspend, or discontinue a service request when permitted by law.

Reasons may include unsafe working conditions, inappropriate behavior toward a technician, interference with work, property restrictions, inability to obtain authorization, inaccurate or materially incomplete information, payment issues, impractical service demands, lack of necessary equipment or parts, or a determination that the work cannot appropriately be performed as mobile service.

Nothing in these Terms authorizes refusal of service for a reason prohibited by applicable law.

Acceptance of one service request does not require Jimmy’s Mobile Care to accept a future service request.

23. Personal Property

Customers should remove valuables and unsecured personal property from the vehicle and immediate work area before service begins.

Jimmy’s Mobile Care is not responsible for property that is lost, misplaced, damaged, or left unattended except to the extent that responsibility results directly from Jimmy’s Mobile Care’s actions and cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.

24. Electronic Communications and Records

Customers may communicate with Jimmy’s Mobile Care through telephone calls, text messages, electronic estimates, invoices, electronic signatures, or other available electronic methods.

Electronic communications and records may be used to document estimates, authorizations, requested work, approvals, declined recommendations, appointments, and other matters relating to automotive service.

Customers are responsible for providing accurate telephone and contact information.

25. No Waiver From a One-Time Exception

If Jimmy’s Mobile Care reduces or waives a charge, accepts a particular payment arrangement, performs a service outside its usual practices, or makes another accommodation on one occasion, that accommodation does not permanently modify these Terms or require the same accommodation in the future.

26. Applicable Law

These Terms & Conditions are intended to operate consistently with applicable law.

If a provision cannot lawfully be enforced as written, that provision will apply only to the extent permitted by law without unnecessarily affecting the remaining provisions.

Nothing in these Terms is intended to waive a customer right or remedy that applicable law does not permit to be waived.

27. Updates to These Terms

Jimmy’s Mobile Care may revise these Terms & Conditions to reflect changes in its services, policies, procedures, payment practices, warranties, or business operations.

The Last Updated date identifies the version published on this page.

For a particular service transaction, applicable terms and any separately documented estimate, repair order, invoice, authorization, or warranty information should be read together.
